Spotswood Lodge

Spotswood Lodge is perfect for a large family or wedding party. Many couples rent both homes. Located in one of the most beautiful areas in Orange County, the property is gorgeous and a great choice for additional wedding weekend events.
The Depot
Grelen's newest property offers three Venue Spaces (for guest counts up to 70) & One Luxury Suite. Within walking distance of Boxwood Villa, it makes a fabulous rehearsal dinner location. The Suite can be rented for getting ready and/or the first honeymoon night, too!

The charming town of Orange, located in close proximity to Grelen, offers a small selection of hotels and inns to accommodate your wedding guests. Additionally, Culpeper and Charlottesville are popular choices among Grelen couples, both being equidistant from Somerset (The Market at Grelen). These vibrant towns boast fabulous Main Street areas that provide enjoyable experiences for guests. As transportation is required for out-of-town guests when serving alcohol, any of these options serve as excellent choices, ensuring convenience and comfort for your attendees. Boxwood Villa couples have the flexibility to choose their ideal getting ready location from a range of options. Often, when getting married at Boxwood Villa, the couple can both get ready on separate floors of the home, or they can split up and get ready in different locations. Often a couple will rent both homes, Boxwood Villa and Spotswood Lodge, so they can offer lodging to their wedding parties and get ready separately. These stunning properties not only serve as lodging options but also provide a splendid backdrop for portraits, allowing couples and their families to capture cherished moments such as the first look and getting ready. Venue Walk-thru Meeting
One month prior to the highly anticipated event, clients are invited to partake in a personalized venue walk-through alongside a dedicated member of Grelen's Event Team. This walk-through (which is required) serves as a crucial opportunity for clients, along with their caterers and planners, to discuss and finalize important details, including the all-important rain plan. In this collaborative session, we review the event details and timeline to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for all guests, even in the event of inclement weather.

Indulge in pure wedding bliss with Grelen's homemade ice cream, a delightful treat that adds a touch of sweetness to your special day! Seasonal flavors (often using Grelen grown fruit) are a great way to highlight the special time of year. Flavor choices change throughout the year and will be provided to you at your walk-thru.

Pre-order food & beverages for you wedding weekend. The Grelen Cafe offers mimosa/breakfast bars, sandwiches, salads, charcuterie boards, and Virginia beer, cider & wine for couples to enjoy in the comfort of their bridal suites or breakfast/lunch fare can even be delivered to the rental homes. Our menu changes thru the seasons and will be provided to you at the walk-thru.
